How to edit the page heading font attributes

Note: This article refers to the legacy version of the Website Builder. If you signed up to the HostPapa Website Builder after March 11 2020, you’re on the new version of the Website Builder. For help, go here.

You can easily change the font size, type, colour, alignment and style of your page heading using the Edit Heading menu. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Click on Edit Heading in the left-hand corner of your heading.
  2. In the menu provided, you will see all the options available to you. When you select an option (e.g. italics), your heading will change in the background – giving you a preview of how it will look.
  3. When you are happy with your edited heading, you can choose to apply the changes to all the pages of your site by clicking Apply to all pages.
  4. To finish, click Save.

You can also upload, and use, custom fonts. To do so:

  1. Click on Edit Heading in the left-hand corner of your heading.
  2. Next to the Font drop-down menu, select Upload to add a new custom font, or Browse to go through fonts you have already uploaded.
  3. Select the font from the drop-down menu.
  4. To finish, click Save.

The website builder also offers a selection of pre-set font settings. What this allows you to do is change the font of your entire website in a single click. The fonts provided are Google web fonts which means they’re open source and supported in all modern browsers.

All styles start off with the Default option selected. Selecting a new font family will apply those changes to your site – but don’t worry, your widget font and any custom HTML you may have added will not be affected. When you change styles, the font will automatically be set to that style’s default. When you return to a previous style in which you have customized the fonts, that customization will be re-applied.

Here’s how to change your site font:

  1. In the website builder, click Style > Fonts.
  2. You will see larger text and smaller text. The larger text is how your headings will appear, the smaller text is how the body text will appear.
  3. Select the font you’d like to use. The changes will be visible immediately.
  4. To revert to the default font, simply select Use Style Default in the Fonts menu.
